Review: Good Vibes Skincare

*Disclaimer: I own all the pictures. This post is not sponsored. Everything written over here is just my opinion.

Hey, folks!

I’m back with another review and it’s a small brand called Good Vibes. I don’t have a lot of products from them but I did get three a couple of weeks ago. So, before I get into the details on the brand and the products, I was wondering what kind of Subscription Boxes would you like for me to review? or perhaps, products? Now, I can’t really go ahead and raid Sephora and get their best products but I can get some of them and well, skincare seems to be pretty in these days. Even I’m starting to take better care of my skin after constantly layering my face with foundations and concealers. It’s time to let my skin look presentable with minimal efforts and the only way to do that is to care for my skin via skincare products. We can either be creative about it and make homemade remedies for acne or run to our closest store and grab the first products we see. Either way, in the end, we need a solution that will have results really come through and are very visible as well. While slow and steady never really does any damage, we need to get our money’s worth. Be it an Elizabeth Arden or L’oreal, products are more important than the brand and with that, let’s get into the review!

What is Good Vibes?

Good Vibes is a skincare brand that is associated with Purplle, an online and offline store that houses various brands that are only exclusively available with them. Now, Good Vibes doesn’t have its own website but it does have an Instagram account, click here. They have products ranging from lotions, exfoliators to essential oils. Also, they believe that all you need is love, care, and good vibes!

I had never heard of Good Vibes before visiting the Purplle store. In fact, I had never heard of Purplle either. The store I visited was at Marketcity, Kurla, Mumbai. The sales rep was very persistent and good with her job and that ended up with me and my mom leaving with 3 bags worth of Good Vibes and other brands. The Good Vibes products that I got are from the categories of Body Lotion, Face Pack and Face Scrub.

Let’s get into the products!

Face Pack

The Brightening Face Mask (Oily and Combination Skin type)

This product comes in a dark transparent Jar with a white separator to keep the contents from spilling and a golden plastic lid. This product claims that it can brighten your skin with a glowing look. It has 50 g worth of paste in it. The product is made in Mumbai and it should be kept away from the eye. After a long day in class or a generally tiring day, I love to come back and unwind with some skincare treatment. This face mask does leave me feeling very rejuvenated and fresh with soft and glowing skin. I usually let it rest on my face for about 30 minutes(Instructions say 10 minutes but don’t worry, it’s alright) and take a little nap with a Puffy The Eyebag Slayer eyemask from Anatomicals. I wake up to my skin feeling incredibly refreshed and my eyes no longer feel tired as well. This product is really very good and I would definitely buy this again!

Lotion

The Shea Butter Body Lotion

This product is in a regular plastic packaging with a signature golden lid on top. It contains shea butter, vitamins, and fatty acids which will nourish the skin. This product is suitable for all skin types and highly recommended for those with dry skin. Keep this away from the eyes to prevent irritation. This contains 200 ml of the product inside. My mom has seriously dry skin and she loved this product so much, that she even went ahead and bought two more of these.  They keep the skin moisturized for a very long time and it makes the skin feel supple and hydrated with a nice glow on it as well. You can also use this on your face, though I would suggest that folks with oily or combination skin, shouldn’t use this to moisturize the face because you might have breakouts. I have combination skin and this product feels pretty greasy on my skin.

Scrub

The Papaya Face Scrub

The Papaya face scrub removes dead cells and rejuvenates the skin. It contains vitamin A and papain enzymes. The jar is made of glass with a dark tint and a golden lid, which at this point is something I have noticed a lot in the products online as well. This product is suitable for all skin types and it is highly recommended for dry skin. It contains 50 g of product. If you’re interested in purchasing this product then click here.

I use a lot of scrubs. It’s pretty much my daily essential and I know it’s not exactly a great ideal to scrub your face so often but I really need to get rid of my tan and my face could really use some brightening. While I do love scrubs, I don’t use this scrub very often, except for when I use the face pack. Also, I was told by the saleswoman that I should use the face scrub before the pack and boy, it’s a great tip! I really enjoy using this product.

Finally, with the last product done,

My Verdict?

I absolutely love these products. They’re affordable reasonable and they have great results. While they aren’t the kind of organic brand I usually prefer, they still are in my top favorites. I highly recommend checking their website and trying out their products as well. The packaging for these products are simple and classic with the glass jars and I have to be honest, I love products with glass jars. It shows presentation and a great deal of investment put into the brand. Yes, looks can be deceiving but I have great vibes coming from these!

Surprisingly short, isn’t it? Well, there will be plenty of long reviews coming up soon!

    1. Hey, Sumesh. As far as I can tell, Good Vibes doesn’t exactly have a box packaging for their products. I don’t quite remember that well, but I think they only use plastic wraps to seal the product, which I probably took off before taking the pictures.
