Hey, folks!

I posted a few pictures of the product I will be reviewing today last week but today I will finally be posting the review as you can see.  Also, I have a serious backlog with suddenly so many reviews that are pending and I did receive a subscription box(Watch the Instagram exclusive video here) also, I have another subscription box that will arrive in the next couple of days and there will be a few special custom-made product reviews that are from the genre of Bookish Accessories and Beauty. You can follow my Instagram handle @CrypticCriticChan to stay in the loop with new announcements for upcoming reviews and the Instagram exclusive videos! Today’s product as you read is an eyeshadow palette and it is easily one of the prettiest palettes I own. It’s funny how I came across it because I walked into the store looking for a highlighter and blush and ended up having purchased a glittery and sparkly eyeshadow palette instead, happens to the best of us really. To learn more about the product, read on!

What is Cleof?

Cleof is a cosmetics brand that was founded in the year 2015 and they want to help women be the best versions of themselves and to help them openly express themselves with the assistance of their range of cosmetics that many people already seem to appreciate. They also believe in rising above the status quo, and the makeup products are strictly kept cruelty free and vegan-friendly. One of the other things that they stand for is making affordable beauty products that also have reputable quality standards that are maintained by Cleof. Cleof has a very diverse customer base and staff which shows their outreach towards different cultures. Several YouTubers and bloggers have previously reviewed their products or used it in their videos and there have been very good things that have been going about the brand as well, especially with their edition of the Mermaid Glitter Eyeshadow which is available on their site.

I had never heard of this brand before, though admittedly, I have seen these palettes on some YouTube videos before I hadn’t really paid attention as to which brand do they belong to. Nonetheless, as I mentioned before, these palettes are really very pretty and especially the one I am reviewing today. I don’t use eyeshadows very often and even when I do use them, They are usually subtle and not the kind that will suit a look that requires glitter but I did try one of the more subtle colors recently and it actually looked really good! but before I go all gaga over the product, let’s move on to the finer details of the review.

The Scene Stealer Glitter Palette by Cleof

It has 24 pans with various shades of glittery colors such as red, blue and green and they’re also waterproof in nature. This palette is very pigmented and its creamy texture brings in an easy application on the eyelid with either a brush or your finger. The case of the palette is also just as glittery as it’s contents within. It is also quite versatile and perfect for all skin types. This palette is best used on the eyes and lips, but not it is not meant to be used on the nails or any other body part. Here’s a list of the ingredients that were used to make this product- DROGENATED STYRENE/BUTADIENE COPOLYMER, MINERAL OIL, POLYISOBUTENE, MICA, SILICA, ALUMINUM POWDER, POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE, ZINC SULFIDE, RESIN EPOXY;PHENOLIC EPOXY RESIN, PROPYLPARABEN, BHA, RED 28,YELLOW 5, BLUE 1, CI 77499, CI 77492, CI 77891, CI 77491 AND CHROMIUM HYDROXIDE GREEN. Now, where was I earlier? Ah yes! I tried on color from this palette and it was the one on the top right side, the first pan with the white-ish look. It has a very fairy pixie dust look and it will work on any color that you use it over. The shade I had under it was a gray and red-ish brown color and out of curiosity, I tried the glittery shade and I was quite surprised with how lovely it looked. I have swatched the palette before and unfortunately, at the moment, I don’t have a picture of that swatch but I will make an update in a few hours with the pictures of the swatch and perhaps, maybe even a look or two with this palette, but the latter will mostly only appear on my Instagram account, so, make sure to follow me there to stay tuned. As for the palette, it is definitely very pigmented and the only thing that really concerned me was a slightly chemically odor that came from the palette and while it didn’t affect my skin, I suggest that folks with sensitive skin types should be wary with products like these.

My Verdict?

If you’re someone who likes to have a dramatic look or just a person who just wants to look casual with a little pop in their style then this palette is definitely meant for you. Its wide range of colors makes it very useful when it comes to trying out different kinds of looks and it does add a little flair in your style when you use it right. The texture is quite soft and easy to use, so, it shouldn’t bring in any problems for you, unless, you have made any errors yourself, in that case, you’ve my sympathy because I am not a pro at this either. I really look forward to creating some new looks and that means, I need to binge watch Nikkie Tutorials and learn a couple of things!

I hope this review was useful for you and as always, if you have a review or some feedback then I look forward to those! Also, if you have tried this product before then tell me how it went and maybe post a picture in the comments below so that I could maybe learn a thing or two from you guys!
