In the last post, I mentioned that there was a special custom made item review coming up soon and well, here it is! This is a review that I have been waiting for a while to write because firstly, I absolutely love how everything went and secondly, this item actually arrived a while ago and has been waiting to be reviewed. With the delay, the exams and search for a new temporary brought in, sadly, this review was pushed to the sidelines until everything was perfect. ish. I have a long way to go before I reach perfect but baby steps progress, too! The search for better props is still on but I have made some progress with that as well. That being said, if you have any recommendations for products or Subscription Services that you would like me to try out, then feel free to drop those ideas in the comment section.
What is The Bookish Pandora?
The married duo Sumit and Rupashri Maurya had always been interested in creative crafts and have been avid readers as well. This led them to form together The Bookish Pandora, a married couple’s team to work together and create these wonderful miniature collectibles to pendants and rings. Most of their products are inspired by various books or movies and almost always consist of a quote that must be a popular line in a book or poem. A lot of these products are made using Polymer clay, which as someone who has actually tried her hand at it, I can assure you that this is no child’s play and it takes a lot of work. Word on the street?
I have seen various websites complimenting the duo and promoting them as well. Some of these sites are, VanityCaseBox.com, LBB.in, Booksom.com, etc. Each of these sites has nothing but praise about the hardworking team of The Bookish Pandora with customers who seem very pleased with their items as well.
Never have I ever requested and purchased a custom product before and I really must admit, I truly enjoyed it all. From the wide varieties of options to select from to the lovely interactions, I had with Ruparshri. Beginning first with my interactions with her, they were quick precise and surprisingly funny to the end. I don’t think I have ever enjoyed conversing with a seller and actual maker of a product before but all of this was extremely pleasant. The arrival of the product was on time as well and everything went as planned and scheduled.
So far, the scores are
Social Media Activity: 10/10
Customer Service: 10/10
Surprised? So am I. I have never given such scores before but giving it anything less would be very unfair to the hard work and the actual amount of time put into the product. Also, my experience with them so far had been so pleasant that, I can’t imagine giving them any other score and I am not one to be biased and neither am I easily swayed but trust me on this, these scores are well deserved. If you’re a regular reader of my blogs then you know that quality is my biggest concern and usually I don’t explain myself or the scores I give over here at all but I feel the need to justify that it is because of a great experience that I had that these scores are so impeccable.
The Custom Bookmark
The instructions given to make this bookmark was simple: Quote(Which I provided them with) and a starry night sky for the background. The color and everything else was chosen by the team and I approved of it. The bookmark is brass and vintage like with an arrow charm, which at the time I didn’t know was going to be present in the bookmark. The cost of the bookmark was Rs 399.
A few emails were exchanged back and forth to finalize the product. In the end, I was very impressed and pleased with the results. The color scheme was chosen by the duo team and I really liked. I remember telling them that it looks wonderful and to go ahead with the look. This final look was the only look that was decided on, mostly because since this was a product I wanted to review, I wanted to see more than their art with following my instruction but also see their own artistic touch to it with the color scheme that is a dark blue-teal like color. The quote ‘Lights will guide you home’ is my favorite line from the song ‘Fix me’ by Coldplay and I hold it very dear to me. To see it encased in resin and so well designed makes me very happy and I really do appreciate the amount of effort that has been put into this bookmark. Also, the little addition of the arrow pendant was a lovely little touch to the bookmark!
If you like bookish items and even want to go ahead and make customized accessories then, The Bookish Pandora is the one for you. Their products and collection is amazing with new additions coming in almost every other day and each different from the last one. In the end, do I recommend it? Of course! I think they’re amazing and I can’t wait to purchase more of their items. The reason why I went ahead with a custom product and not one from their collection is that I really wanted to see how everything works out to be and whether they really live up to the hype around them and I am very pleased to see that the hype did live up to my expectations. One thing is for sure, there will be plenty of products that will appear from The Bookish Pandora on this blog because they have a huge variety of products that they offer and I, for one, am very keen to see how they look up close.
