We are half way through March 2019 and summer is already here in all of its sweaty and make-up botching glory. As you can tell, I’m no fan of summer. I have combination and acne prone skin, which isn’t ideal for summer days. This means that make-up will be down on the low and skincare will be a must. Usually, I’m not all that big on skincare but these days I’ve been trying my best to follow some basic steps to keep my skin from breaking out. I’ve also noticed that a lot of you seem to like the skincare reviews on my blog and I’ve finally gotten around to writing yet another skincare product review.
What are Indulgeo Essentials?
The company Indulgeo Essentials is an Indian brand that is based in Gurgaon. This company also ships worldwide. Word On The Street?
Now, I had to go through a lot of different reviews before I could settle on what the general review seems to be thrown about regarding this product in particular. The conclusion? It’s a product that has puzzled many and worked for the greater masses. Some of their own doubts when voiced seemed logical enough to make me curious and wonder about the product myself and so, here I am.
After my previous review on the Indulgeo Essential’s Rose Gold Oil, I knew I had to check out their other products. Of course, it’s been a while since the review went up but this new serum is a recent launch. My experience with their Rose Gold Oil has been very rewarding to me and my skin. It’s definitely a product that I still highly recommend. As always, I purchased this product from the site itself and it arrived within 2-3 days.
So far, the ratings are:-
Social Media Activity: 8/10
Customer Service: 9/10
Let’s get into the real review~!
The Rejuvenating Eye Serum
Much like most of their products, this serum is 100% organic with their ingredients being Castor Oil, Flaxseed Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Avocado Oil among the many others. The soothing effects of this serum are meant to reduce fine lines and discoloration around the eyes as well as enhance the firmness of the skin. Though, one of the main uses of this serum is to promote the healthy growth of eyelashes and even eyebrows, at the same time it also prevents breakage of the hair. The color of the liquid is clear and the total product available in each glass bottle is 15 ML for the cost of ₹500.

I had really been looking forward to reviewing this product and of course, reviewing it means using it on myself. During the two weeks I gave it to work its charm, I noticed that I had started having eruptions on my skin around my eyes. Now, I would like to mention the areas I had been applying it on- the under eye, eyelashes, and eyebrows. So, I started having breakouts on my eyebrows and around them. This was a very big matter of concern for me because I have very sparse eyebrows and I used to use eyebrow pomade to draw them on, and drawing them on would feel weird and odd with the eruptions underneath the product. My undereye didn’t seem to look any different either during the two weeks. While these were mostly the negative aspects of the product, let me fill you in on the positive. I saw a growth in the volume and thickness of my lashes and brows within the two weeks. It may even sound absurd to a lot of you but I have actually transitioned to using eyebrow pencils instead, which to me felt like a great deal.
Please bear in mind once more, I have combination skin that leans towards oily and acne-prone skin type. I really wanted to give this product a fighting chance. And so, I decided to bring my mom into this review. She has previously been my guinea pig for other reviews and as always, didn’t shy away from the offer to be pampered. My mom has very dry skin with an oily T zone. We set the deadline for another two weeks. As the days went by, we noticed the same hair growth on her brows and lashes but the under eye remained the way it was with little to no change.
By the end of the month from when the reviewing started, there were two women with shiny brows. Albeit, one of them had pimples and breakouts accompanying it as well. But, what’s the point of me mentioning this? My point is that I think this is a pretty good product and its meant for most skin types, except for extremely oily and acne-prone skin types, like myself. I feel the pain of my fellow serum users and agree that the break-outs are a pain to deal with but if you’re someone with very sparse eyebrows or lashes, then with enough counter skincare, you just might create a loophole to deal with this flaw in the product. Overall, I don’t hate the product, I still think it’s quite nice and perhaps, longer use of it on the undereye might help with the discoloration and fine lines due to the key ingredients already in this concoction. Though, I would like to mention that there is a rejuvenation effect on the undereye that relaxes the skin on that area with this product, so, it’s not entirely a lost cause. One more thing I would like to address is that this is not a serum. It is very much a mix of various oils and hence, still retaining its status as an oil and not serum. So, do I recommend this product? Yes, I do recommend it and at the same time I bid caution to potential buyers, you should know your skin type before using this product much like how you should with most skincare and make-up. If I had to give feedback to the brand, I would suggest that you mention that this product is not meant for all skin types.
This was quite the review for me because I wasn’t sure at first whether I should abandon ship or change the ship itself but I am glad that I went ahead and found a way to get around this problem. Anyway, as always, I hope you enjoyed this review and found it informative enough for you. I’m always open to feedback and constructive criticism, so, please feel free to reach out to me via Instagram or email me at IAmNotChannel@gmail.com.
Until the next post,
